My research focus is Iraq and Afghanistan veterans and their psychosocial adaptation to trauma (amputation, TBI, other). I am very interested in resiliency and the role of military training in psychosocial adaptation to traumatic injuries.
Published papers include: Military Women and Polytrauma (Journal of Applied Rehabilitation Counseling, Fall 2010) and Veterans, Military Sexual Trauma, and PTSD (in press for Summer 2010) and two articles in Rehabilitation Counselors and Educators Journal: "Using YouTube.com to Develop Multicultural Competencies" (2009) and "SKYPE: A cost-effective method for Qualitative Research" (2010).
